The senators of Utah and Kentucky, Mike Lee and Rand Paul, are “joining the Democrats in criticizing the classified briefing military and administration officials provided to lawmakers on Iran.”
Though Lee supports Trump in showing “restraint,” he called the briefing he had as “probably the worst briefing I’ve seen, at least on a military issue, in the nine years I have served in the United States Senate.”
Lee is also saying that “he has decided to support Sen. Tim Kaine’s war powers resolution.” A Republican is saying that he supports and respects Trump, but then is going behind Trump’s back to support a Democrat after he didn’t like how he was briefed.
